The VNC problem was solved by the Monterey 12.3.1 update. However, remote management invoked via iMessage worked. None of the methods mentioned above helped. I've been dealing with a black screen problem via VNC on a Macbook Air M1 for two months. After sending this to a few different macs it works without fail. I found that if you manage macs via MDM (Jamf etc), you need to send a remote command to set remote desktop to 'enabled' - the command will seem to fail but resolves the issue. ![]()
